Two (or three) of the worst offenders are our guys. I've sent emails to out members who are behind and I've heard nothing from them. Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened to "piratelooks" aka John Callanen? I hope he's okay.

Oh and one more thing, if you look back at the CigarPool message board back sometime in May, Michael Cook mentioned that #25 Elaina Andarez had passed away in April. Well heck, if she's passed away ya'd think the first person on the waiting list can take her place ???

Do I have any volunteers (MauiJim) to make this request of the administrator?

I've got to tell you guys- of all the packages I've received, the absolute best have come from CigarPass members. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Quite a few people don't even register until the deadline THEN they send the cigars. The important thing is that they register not necessarily that you have to receive them by the deadline.

Also, this time around it took an extra day for the "Cigar Pool Winner" email to come out (I received mine on Friday afternoon instead of Thursday) so even the most efficient member probably didn't mail anything to your before Saturday or Monday.

NOT ME though I have a list of almost everyone's address so I almost always send them out right away, even before I receive the "official" notification from CigarPool. You should have received my package first :thumbs:

I received a bunch of them, you can see in my sig pic. I'm compiling a list as I go too of everyone's address and number

I talked to a friend of mine who won the pool last year, but they didn't let him win because he only registered 1 of his 2 numbers as sending something for the (then) previous drawing or two... Kinda unfair, but he's still in the pool waiting.

So I wasn't 100% sure does it matter if they register the mailing, or the winner mark the package received, or both or what ? And I sure don't want ANYONE to be denied the opportunity of winning because of ME. :0 :lookup:

Oh no, so long as the SENDER REGISTERS, he's all set.

If ya think about it, why should the sender be punished if the winner doesn't mark them in the "mark winnings received" field or in the case of Ron Natalie, he had a crisis come up (he wrecked his car) and missed marking winnings received.

Michael instituted the "mark winnings received" because there were a few clowns who would CLAIM to have sent cigars and never actually did and they would do this for drawing after drawing. When he implemented the "mark winnings received" feature, it essentially put a stop to that nonsense which was a great addition to the pool :thumbs:

Once guy recently (Steven Chevrette) was registering his mailings and when SEVEN winners in a row never marked any winnings received from him, guess what, his gig was up and out he went :0

Oh yeah, I remember the Raleigh Parks episode. He had TWO numbers and sent for both but only registered ONE and wouldn't ya know, the one that came up was the one he didn't "register" I think it was even marked by the winner with the check as "received" BUT rules are rules which is what Michael went by and I think Michael made the right call. Sux for Raleigh but think about it, the guy who wound up being declared the winner would have been 100% right to complain if Raleigh was delcared the winner when he didn't follow the rules.

I'll tell ya, if it was me I would have complained :0 As you know, a winner on average receives around $500.00 worth of cigars.

Did you know that since Raleigh, there was one other person who did not register and it wound up costing him a win? That would be the one and the only:

Hello,

I see there are numerous people waiting to get in the pool, so it looks like it might be time to clean house once again.

Not counting the last drawing from 6-16, these people are behind.

These numbers have been registering but nothing has shown as received for at least the 3 previous drawings dated 6-2, 5-19 & 5-5.

Here is what was sent to the Admin over at the Pool.

I too see that a few of the offenders on the list reside here. They have been nudged several times. ???

There is no excuse if you don't play by the rules, no one likes to win and not receive your winnings. It's not like they could say 'I forgot'.

The past 2 worst offenders were #18 - Doug Manz & #14 - Grant Thompson. Grant went something like 10 drawings in a row as not even registering. Doug would register about 1 out of evey 3 or 4 just to keep in.

Well, again I've ben behind the power curve and still haven't gotten my end of the winnings out. Been busy as hell and just haven't gotten around to it. I'll make it a point today to box up some goodies and get them out in the morning. I'll make sure to mark both of my numbers and not be like our brother Shuji..... :sign: :thumbs:

Do you think there is any chance that some of these "offenders" are active military? I would hope that no one serving active duty would lose their spot due to serving their country.

It would be nice to know if there might be a very valid reason why the smokes hadn't been sent.

As an outsider looking in, IMHO I think it would look better if they just put some kind of note regarding player status ie....."on hold" or "notified administrator of inability to ship".
That way if someone was ill, or away for an extended period, it wouldn't just look like they were sherking their responsibilities and taking up space in the pool.

Yeah it worked alright. I am now #82, and my friend Dale Cardinal is now #81.

Actually, the waiting list is empty now, so if anyone was thinking about joining, it would be prime time to get on the list.

Great news!! Michael is generally pretty good with understanding people's circumstances and I'd bet he had been following up with them and worked it all out

And, after all the dust has settled, we had five our our guys drop BUT five CPer's were added so we still have 36 of the 100 CigarPool numbers covered by CPass members with gregor22 number 1 & 2 on the waiting list :thumbs:
