Fast had told me in January that he was probably going to drop out. He's on his cruise right now so it'll be while until we hear from him.

But seriously, sorry to see this happen -- you're clearly one of the most stand-up guys around, it is to CP's detriment, IMHO, not yours that you were booted.
 
That's total BULL.

Even if you were sending them e-mails every day and they thought you were a 'PITA', there's nothing in the rules about that.

You registered all your mailings from the start and all but one :) have been received.

According to their rules, you are a member in good standing.

So, when is the new CCLottery, CegarPond or Coventry's Cigar-a-thon going to be up and running? You're sure to have quite a few ship jumpers. :p
 
FYI CPassers @ CigarPool:

Due to my own poor experiences with the administrator(s) at CPool, I have asked that my name be removed from CigarPool.
 
mmmmm......a CPass boycott of CPool. Interesting to know we could seriously fVck with them if we organized to all drop out simultaneously!
 
Personally, if Michael doesn't rectify the situation ASAP, I would whole-heartedly support a CigarPass boycot of CigarPool. But before anyone leaves, they should make a post on the message board there explaining exactly why they're leaving.

Imagine his dismay with over one fourth of all the members disappear!

If someone can code it, I will host the new cigarpoolwhatever board for free.

Sorry to say guys, but that's really not the answer. I know that CC86 and Michael, as well as a few others, have been exchanging emails on this subject. It doesn't do anyone any good to get into an internet p***ing match. I have faith that CC86 and the CPool admin will ultimately work this out.

The question now is, have you written a non-threatening/positive letter to the CPool admin asking for CC86's reinstatement? Try that first. We should point out the positves that CC86 has provided to CPool. He is CPools biggest champion here on CP. Many of us wouldn't have known about CPool without him. He stays on top of the current status of registered winnings making sure we get don't get aced out of a lottery. CC86 wants what we all want... a fun, fair place.

If you really want to make an impact on the situation, I would try sending a thoughtful email to Michael.

Hmmm....

...my problem was I never received a response after repeated attempts at contacting him for basic membership stuff.

As a member in good standing, I finally got tired of being completely ignored.

I made the decision to bail after I decided that I no longer wanted to support Michael Cook's project with my cigars.

In all fairness to MC, my emails in general tend to be straight to the point, not a whole lotta fluff and puffery.

Maybe they weren't thoughtful enough. ???

It may not be so much a pissing contest, but rather people just sick of dealing with various aspects of CP. I don't know, because I've never joined, but that seems to be the general theme from what I've read here. CC's ousting seems more like a catalyst than a cause.
 
Before I read the last few posts here, I actually did send Michael of Cigarpool a very nice email explaining that our own Bill J. was infact one of CigarPools biggest promoters. And many of us (his current members) would not have known or joined cigarpool without Bill's intervention.

I went on to explain that no matter what the situation was surrounding Bill's being ousted from cigarpool, he is in fact one the most loyal members of the pool and responsible for tons of good and very positive publicity of that site and many of its current active members. And I closed with I think He (MICHAEL) should reinstate Bill since he has in fact been such a positive influence on many of its current members.

I think an email bomb from ALL of us here at CigarPass to the admin@cigarpool.com suggesting Bill be reinstated would be a good start... Then we can talk about a CigarPass-wide boycott of Cigarpool.

Just e-mail the admin over there and registered my unhappiness with Bill getting booted.

The message was pleasant, and I stated that according to their rules, Bill has been and is a member in good standing. :thumbs:

There's my .02 worth to them.

Hope they come to their senses and let you back in Bill.



Received a reply stating it was the rude e-mails that got Bill booted, but they are working things out. And we may possibly see him once again in the pool.
 
I just noticed #26 is empty on CigarPool- and no waiting list...

No reason why Cc86 shouldn't be let back in! :angry:
