CigarPass.com 2nd Annual Herf - THE HERF

Ok guys, time to kick this up a notch. We need more accurate reservation data for the events, so I wrote a registration page. Those who have made plans to attend - including you locals, please pay a visit and register your *current* plans. If you're more than 50% sure you're going, please register. Please be honest. Registration is NOT a committment. We won't send Matty to rough you up if you change your plans. You'll be able to set a password that will enable you to see the attendees page, and to edit your record.

Registration does ask for some personal info such as cellphone and flight info, so I passworded it. That will protect it from search engine bots and unauthorized viewers. If you are comfortable with us having that, we'll do our best to get you all together while you travel. The best battle plan never survives first engagement. Give your phone number, we can easily notify you of changes during the HERF. There is one choice, whether or not to release your info to other attendees. If you say no, the attendees page will not display it, but I will still have access to add the info to our plans.

At the moment, the entire attendees list page is password protected to prevent search engine bots from reading it. I'll open that up on Monday so everyone can at least see the list. Please PM me with any problems. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you at the HERF!

^^ Bump

If the chance of your attending the Vegas HERF is better than 50-50, please register here

Thanks!

Well, I'll be in the Boundary Waters that entire week, June 16-23. Hopefully next year.

Talked with the little lady, she said go and play. Any of you brothers out there looking to save a little money, looking to split room and cab fair.

If you guys need a place to stay, check out the following sites for deals:

I'm going to be staying at the Golden Nugget, which is downtown. It's a very nice hotel, which rivals many of the big name strip hotels (Bellagio, Venetian, Mirage, Paris, NYNY, etc). You can get a pretty good deal there.

5 weeks out, Sportsfans! If you've made up your mind to attend, please register here.

I now have my airline tickets paid for, Hotel booked. There is enough loot either landed or inbound to Lkyman for us to hold our own RTDA mini convention. The Ammo Can should also now be in Vegas. This is going to be one helluva shindig, Brothers.

You'll be receiving some free raffle tickets, just for showing up. For a SERIOUS chance at some of that loot, you're going to have to buy some tickets, but hey, the money goes to pay for Cigar Pass. Rod could turn CP into a frigging billboard and make some good money, but he doesn't want to do that to us. This is our chance to put some folding money back into his pocket.

Those who can't make it can still get in on the action. Even if you're planning to attend, buy raffle tickets for the Ammo Can here. If you're a girly man and don't want to be listed, you can PM Rod to purchase your chances quietly, 5 at a time, buck a shot. Attendees can buy tickets right up to the drawing.

What's an Ammo Can? Look here to see it and look here to see what fine cigars comes with it. If you do but tickets, feel free to post a taunt in this thread! I will mail out ammo can tickets on June 18.

Doesn't Mainstreet Station have a smoking lounge (old railroad car)? I believe it is inside the steak restaurante.

Come on ppl. There is still time to find good rates. We have a number of BOTLs staying all over the Las Vegas area. This is going to be a great time. This raffle is looking to be larger than last year.! If you need help finding accommodations dont hesitate to PM me.

Raffle is huge this year. I would say it's a good 3 times larger than last years.

Looking forward to meeting you Jay! I'm arriving Thursday night, probably around midnight. Assuming there's not traffic (though there will be), I can make it up there in 3 hours by car (mustang :D).

One thing we learned from last year is that plans can change. First, I encourage you to register if there is any chance that you'll be attending. If you don't register, it's unlikely that you'll be contacted with any last minute changes in plan.

Those with phones that do not use text messaging, I or someone will call you with any plan changes. This includes those of you who really CAN receive text, but chose not to pay for it.

Those who chose to use text messaging will also be able to receive email. I've found that, while I can send SMS "text" messages, I can't create a group - send one message to everyone at the same time. Every PCS phone has an email address. For Sprint, that's <your phone number>@sprint.com. Please PM me with that email address if you know it, or just your provider if you don't, and I'll add you to the group (I'll test to make sure it works). Otherwise, each event sponsor will do his best to keep you informed during the HERF.

So, if you registered to attend the Casa Fuente event on Friday and the plan changes:

Those who registered and said "yes" to text messaging will receive a text message or email detailing the change.

Those who registered and said "no" to text messaging will receive a phone call (or voice mail).
