If I have my maduros in plastic zip lock baggies, will they be okay next to the naturals in the humi? I know you are not supposed to store the maduro next to the natural, but what if they are "baggied" up?

Ree

You should have no issue storing Maduro's next to Natural's even without baggies

At the very worst over years and years a very dark and oily wrapper next to a very light dry wrapper might leach a bit of oil and get a little stained.

Well said. That has been understanding as well. Time is the catalyst.

Thanks for the tip! For some reason I thought I read not to store you maduros next to your naturals.

I think that type of segregation went out in the late 60's! ;) :D

I wonder if you are thinking about proper storage of "flavored" sticks. I myself will admit to owning a few Drew Estates offerings, but I certainly do not store them with any of my other premium cigars. Even when shipping, I make sure that they are kept in a seperate container than the others. It has been said that the flavors can marry with other sticks over time.

Only the flavors of a flavored stick will cause a problem.

Real cigars do not marry. Or you would be able to turn a bunch of $hit styx into Opus just by storing the two togather or maybe even turn domestics into cubans. And most know that that is not going to happen.....our favorite little dust (plume) is not contagious to other styx either.

Like Craig stated above, over a period of time you will get a little discoloration but that will be about it.
