Hi all, im a newb here so dont cut my head off if this has already been adressed. I looked but couldnt find anything on this specific issue.

My wife got me a cigar oasis xl for xmas. its been working great. I have a 150 stick dome top humidor that seals well, and holds pretty good humidity. I usually have between 40-75 sticks in at any given time. just some background info... Now the problem.

this evening i was checking my humidity and noticed it pretty low, about 55%. I thought that was odd seeing how i had a brand new oasis xl. after some troubleshooting i noticed that the exhaust fan, the one on the top of the unit was actually in reverse. meaning, it was pulling air in??? Now, its never done this, and im pretty sure its not supposed to. All components seem ok. I took the oasis apart and put it back together. unplugged everthing, etc... Im stumped. I figured id ask here, see if anyone knows if maybe this is normal function or not...

thanks.

I had the same problem with the XL. It did not humidify my cabinet properly. I got rid of it and got the Avallo Accumonitor instead.

maybe your batteries are in backwards or maybe you ribbon is in wrong????

Well I'm going to assume that it's just a lil generic square fan? Nevern seen one in person, but judging by the images...

How about unscrewing it and flipping it over?

I'm pretty sure that's how it works. It draws the air in from your humidor and through the cartridge and exhausts the humidified air through the side port. At least that's how the 2 XLs I've had worked.
