My name is John and I'm trying to put together a clear and contemporary picture of the cigar community in the greater NY area.  If anyone has a moment for a brief, anonymous if you like, survey I'd appreciate it. This is for my personal use and will be used in a business effort in the near future.

 Just two. As co founder of urban sherpa travel, the biggest winter sports day trip business in the NE. 12,000 customers this past winter. I'm also employed at Davidoff of Geneva CC but this survey is for my own use. As for being a kid, I'm 56. What strikes me is the level of paranoia with regards to this survey. Just looking for a current snapshot of the market that might figure into a venture. It wouldn't be my first and as I took on the biggest retailers in NYC and now have a 50% share of that market you might want to cut me some slack. What harm could it do?

50% of the NYC market share? is there data to back this up because (not that i know any diff i am  just asking) when i think of the shops in NYC, like Barclay, Cigarinn and Nat sherman, then throw in all the smaller store i find it hard to believe that they are sharing the other 50%. Is this number derived from total company sales or Retail location sales?

Market from more than one account, well, appears shady.
 
As for paranoia....this is what you state: "This is for my personal use and will be used in a business effort in the near future."
So...is it for personal use or a business venture?
 
50% of what market? That number is meaningless without reference. Cigar market...Sherpa market?
 
Getting to  know the community you are visiting, prior to stepping on it, usually turns out better.
