Chateau Larmande

Looks to be in the $35-$45 range around these parts ...... interesting, I'll look for it at the Wine Club, thanks.

Well made and savory wine. Good medium ruby. Exciting aromas of black raspberry and roast coffee. Supple, with somewhat roasted fruit flavors and a hint of minerals. Has thrust and backbone. A highly regarded grand cru classe estate located in Saint-Emilion ac in Bordeaux. Chateau Larmande has about 54 acres planted with about 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The château average about 8000 cases of red wine. The wine are full flavored, full-bodied and well structured. The better vintages are capable of aging for 12 to 15 years. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2014

You gotta shop more. I can get all the way back to the 89 vintage for under $45.

Ack, I didn't see you were from OZ. Sorry 'bout that.

yep.... Australian imports are getting better... but they have a loooong way to go.

On average, a good cigar costs $30 each down here.

Bah.
