I think these are quickly becoming my favourite 5 dollar smoke....lots of smoke..tons of flavour...small enough to smoke in less than an hour...very well constructed...and a good price...anyone else a fan...and might be willing to trade me a five of the Maduro? (Have tried them yet)
 
I love them. I'm almost halfway through a full box of the maddies, and I just got another 5'er of the SG's. I think the SG's edge out the maddies overall - but the maddies have a damn fine last 1/3

Have you tried a Casa Fuente yet? (since you're close to them) How much are they?

I agree about the Sungrown. Really like the Chateau Fuente Sungrown...inexpensive for a Fuente and very tasty. But I still love Opus and Anejo.

Rob---Casa Fuente are good. Opus/Don Carlos/Hemmingway binder/filler and a Camaroon wrapper. Very interesting and tasty...but a very loose draw (VERY loose). Prices are $18 for Corona...and up (don't remember). Not cheap, but good for the experience and to be one of the few that have smoked them. :p

By far one of the best affordable smokes out there. I know of someone else on this board whom thinks the same...we did a box split not to long ago, and I will have already wiped out my population after this weekend! It's all good though, these smokes are so tasty I don't ever plan on being without them!
 
I love the SG's. I usally keep the Chateaus and the Cuban Belis on hand.
 
I was thinking about a multi-box split - 1 box of each and split them. Of course, It'll have to wait until I get back from camping (and abusing the otterbox :p )

The Chateau Fuentes are a decent smoke..for the price...you can get better domestic super premium mumbo jumbo...they are just rare and new..and thusly..good...

I would take a nice greycliff any day of the week over the fuentes..and just about the same price...
 
I heard if you look around you can find em for like $70 a box...I think they only come 20 to a box so hardy worth of a split..
 
I've seen them for $59/box. You honestly can't go wrong w/ the Chateau SGs.

You are meaning Casa Fuentes correct? There is nothing new or rare about Chateau Fuentes. Now thw Chateaus and DOuble Chateaus in the Sungrown wrapper are difficult to get, but not rare.

I can get Fuente SG's so easy here where I am... would be more that happy to get boxes for any of you that wants them. But here's the catch...California Tobacco tax is 46.76% per box. So for four (Yes, 4)easy payments of $49.95, any Fuente SG's can be yours!!! :sign:

yikes so do you receive a reach around with each box purchase ???
 
I had my first Chateau Fuente about a month ago. I've quickly made my way through the whole box. I easily prefer them to even a Don Carlos. I like the maduros a touch better than the sun growns, but the sun grown are way freegin good as well. I've read some reviews that say the sun grown have more of a peppery taste to them. I found them to be a bit sweeter and have less of the fuente spice than the maduro. Make mine a double though. :D
 
I bought 10 SG's a while back. I really like them for what you said...good smoke and less than an hour.
 
It's funny, I just picked up a box of the Sun Grown's on Friday. $65, all told. I love these babies.
