Have never seen "Cuba" on any Bolis I've had. Possibly some LEs? I dont know.

Yeah, I think you may be right that they are for special releases only. HERE is what I was thinking of and it says Special Releases under the picture of the middle band.

I wouldn't worry too much about the missing barcodes as some distributors don't want HSA to know they are supplying vendors outside their offical distribution territory. The ultimate test is to smoke them. Enjoy!

Not sure if removed bar codes = gray market, but over all I'm pleased. Already ordered a few favorite boxes from another "more verified" source and will post those results as well. Thx for the input all.

It's a fairly good sign. Suppliers/vendors with legitimate supply chains through HSA cannot compromise this status. It's actually those individuals/companies who remove the bar code, not the grey market purchasers of this product.

As far as the sticks go, the cohibas look more or less spot on from what I've run into. As far as the Bolivar's are concerned I have almost no experience there.

Those look extremely premium to be honest with you. Also, the new bar code is perfect and frankly forgers are not up to the level yet to fake material from the hologram, bind it into the tax label and then cut it off again and make the material residue look the same as the real thing.

Don't listen to anyone on wrapper shade. Cuba has had a huge wrapper shortage in tail end 07 and 08 and is using less common wrapper combinations with sticks. Big trend towards darker, richer looking wrappers. The wrapper has no real effect on taste AFAIK excluding the heavy maduro stuff.

Thanks, yes I enjoyed another RC last night and it was fantastic. Totally different experience when I smoke with water as apposed to a little scotch taste wise. Love both just very different. Thanks for the input.
