I just read a tasting in Cigar Insider about the Casa Fuente Robusto. Anyone know anything about them? Other then the brief tasting, I can't seem to find any info...

I've never heard of a casa fuente cigar. Moki most likely has as well as others on the board. Did it give any tobacco origin? MSRP? Anything?

According to CI, it has a camroon wrapper and a blend very similar to the opus x. He said that it tasted much like the Don Carlos line, but the taste was much richer and deeper.

Sounds very intriguing.

Suckling's score was 91.

Very cool, bigmac. Lousy tasters reporting on something that you can only get in one store in the entire world (grumble, grumble, grumble). Guess I'll have to make a trip out to Vegas.

mrjingles...aren't you going to Vegas this summer?

Maybe - not sure yet. If I do and anyone wants some of these I'll take some orders once I clarify my plans. Then again, I'm sure someone here will be in Vegas before the summer.

I'm heading out to Vegas this Friday. I'll hunt these guys down.

Wait, looks like it wont be open until mid-March. Dammit.

I was just there and walked through Ceasar's. I didn't even notice a sign or anything, but I wasn't looking either.

I'll be back in June or July.

Greg, you'll have to keep us posted.

PM'ing Gregor. Anyone who gets these things, PM me lol. Anymore info on them?

I'll take a look see when I get a chance. Don't get down to the strip much, but I'll make a trip for this.

The shop where they will be selling these is apparently not open yet. Given that it's Vegas, I am guessing you will pay ridiculous prices for these cigars.

I don't know anything about the actual composition, other than that they have a Cameroon wrapper.... I've not had one yet either.

If I had to guess, I would say that they are not an Opus X cigar with a Cameroon wrapper... more likely IMHO is that they are a blend similar to the Añejo (which is a mix of Opus X, Hemingway, and Don Carlos tobacco) with a Cameroon wrapper.

That's just based on what I've read of the reviews of it, and tidbits here and there. Insert grain of salt.
