Car Ionizers 2/$15 as Costco

Might be a little late- but just before Christmas, at Costco (a membership warehouse club like Sams Wholesale) here in Arlington TX, they (costco) had a 2 pack of cigarette lighter car ionizers... you got 2 of them for $15.

did you get some? How do they work? I got a Surround-Air Ionizer as a gift and so far so good. I think I am going to pick another one up. It makes everything smell so fresh . They also have car models of these, and my Surround-Air came with a car lighter plug also so I will give that a shot also

I didn't get these models- I bought a couple of them (1 for my car, 1 for the wife's car) by Wagner from Fry's Electronics a while ago when they had them on sale for $12.99 ea. (the costco deal at 2/$15 is a better deal obviously). My last car, the cigarette lighter was "hot" (ie: powered on) even when the car was turned off- so this was great, the ionizer was on 24/7. On my new car, and on her car, the cigarette ligher only works with the car on

I think it they were to stay on, they make a big difference, but only being on when the car is on- I don't see much difference... and actually I recently had an odor problem, even though when I smoke in the car- I crack the window or open the sun roof, and turn off the heater/air conditioner. Still I had a odor problem, and left one of my house ionizer in the car one night (ran an extention cord in there) and a box of Arm & Hammer over night, got the smell right out.
