I picked up my first CAO cameroon a while ago and the damn thing fell apart in my fingers. Wrapper all over the place. Dont get me wrong what I did get to smoke was good but the wrapper just made it lousy.
A week ago I picked up another just to try it and bamm the same thing happens, cut, fire, smoke, and damn all over the place again wrapper starts to go I hold it together as well as possible and even slide the band over the tearing wrapper to help nope. Trash can.
Anyways they taste great from what I got to smoke, but I wont buy them again.
Anyone had A similar problem? the first one I smoked strait from the humi at the store. The second was from A differant store and I humidified it for A couple of days in my humi still no luck. ???

Did you get both of them from the same place? It might be a storage problem. I've had several of those, and I've never experienced that problem.

Never seen this either. Perhaps you are cutting too much off when you snip. Try punching it.

Two seperate stores. I was thinking of punching next. I never have problems with my other smokes so I dont think its A cut problem. Maybe just a fluke but it was odd. oh well maybe Ill try one more at some point. I really love CAO cigars and never had any problems with all the others ive tried. Thanks for the input guys.

My CAO Gold Label did the same thing, coming out of my own humi, stored at 68% RH. Wrapper ripped from snipping. I licked it and enjoyed it. Still, it bugged me. But, it was not the first cigar out of my humi that gave me that problem. Other brands had the exact same issue. Is it my cutter?

Today, after a delicious Christmas goose dinner (I cooked it myself!), I had a Black Pearl. Now, I must say that since the CAO incident, my Climmax vibrator tube had arrived and I got the RH up to 72. To avoid possible problems, I licked the cap and let it sit for a moment before I cut it--without any problems this time. And it was a perfect burn and an easy draw.

I'll keep an eye on it.

I think your hunch about the cutter is perhaps right. If you are using a double-guillotine cutter, you can afterwhile experince a little "play" between the blades that will create problems with even the best rolled cigars. It's either that or of course.....the blade is gutting dull.

Most of the cigars I smoke have Camaroon wrappers and I've found them to be more delicate than other wrappers. CAO, Perdomo2s and FDOGCs seem to be more brittle than than Don Carlos and Hemingways are. Sometimes I'll use a punch or V-cut to help avoid unraveling issues.

hmm, never had that prob. before.
had a plugged CAO once, but lit it up near the store I had bought it from 2 days earlier. went in and told them about it and she gave me a replacement one.

Never had a problem with a CAO, cammie or other. I'm guessing that it had to be the cut.
