I absolutely love the Brazilia Gol! I've yet to try a better cigar and I've tried many NC's $30 and under. Each time I smoke a $12 to $30 cigar I can't help but think... I could have had 2 to 5 Gols (they are about $6.25 at my local B&M) for the same amount! I've yet to find a cigar I enjoy more. The Padron 1926 Maduro is close, but cost $20-30. Gave a Brazilia Gol to my brother recently and he was similarly impressed. He wasn't familiar with the line and though it was a much more expensive cigar (relatively speaking).
The Italia is okay, but to me is milder, has less flavor and is less complex. The CAO MX2's are more similar to the Brazilia than the Italia line (IMO); although they are somewhat sweeter, not quite as strong and less complex. I also like the other CAO lines, particularly the L’Anniversaire eXtreme and Criollo.
Guess you could say I'm a big fan of the Brazilia. It's my reference standard cigar, which I find amazing given how cheap it is (again relatively speaking). However, I have noted some inconsistencies with the Brazilia (all have been impeccably constructed), however I've come across a few that were way off in flavor and somewhat harsh. I've also found others mention this as well. Somewhat disappointing, but most have been so good, I keep going back. So if you don't like the initial one or two, you might try one from a different box or even a different one in the Brazilia line. As usual, just an opinion and your milage may vary!
Enjoy,
Mark
