Had a nice wet slushy snow fall today. Had to take the wife and kids over to chruch for choir practice, so rather than drive all the way home, only to turn around and come back across town to work an hour later, I decided to stop by the local B&M for a morning smoke. Had not been there for nearly a month and was missing the place.
They had restocked recently and there were a number of new arrivals to choose from, but what I picked was one that I had seen in there before, the CAO Brazilia Piranha. The manager told me that this box had been in there for about a year, so I bought one ($8.50! Stinking taxes!) took a seat and gave it a try.
Size: 4.5 x 46
Binder: Nic
Filler: Nic
Wrapper: Brazilian
The aroma of this stick was very nice indeed, Gave it a cut and the prelight draw was perfect with a nice tobacco flavor to it. Toasted up the foot and lit up. Burn was even all the way with a nice grey ash that hung well.
This is a full bodied smoke, very rich and creamy flavor, not at all harsh. The first inch there were hits of spice that would hit a few seconds after a puff. After that the spice vanished and the rest of the smoke was a smooth full tobacco experience. Lots of flavor with no harsh taste at all.
Between the great smoke and fun conversation with some of the regulars at the shop, it was a great way to beat the winter driving stress.
I have enjoyed all the CAO cigars I have tried and this one was no different. Will be wanting to add this to my humidor in the near future.
