Had a nice wet slushy snow fall today. Had to take the wife and kids over to chruch for choir practice, so rather than drive all the way home, only to turn around and come back across town to work an hour later, I decided to stop by the local B&M for a morning smoke. Had not been there for nearly a month and was missing the place.

They had restocked recently and there were a number of new arrivals to choose from, but what I picked was one that I had seen in there before, the CAO Brazilia Piranha. The manager told me that this box had been in there for about a year, so I bought one ($8.50! Stinking taxes!) took a seat and gave it a try.

Size: 4.5 x 46

Binder: Nic

Filler: Nic

Wrapper: Brazilian

The aroma of this stick was very nice indeed, Gave it a cut and the prelight draw was perfect with a nice tobacco flavor to it. Toasted up the foot and lit up. Burn was even all the way with a nice grey ash that hung well.

This is a full bodied smoke, very rich and creamy flavor, not at all harsh. The first inch there were hits of spice that would hit a few seconds after a puff. After that the spice vanished and the rest of the smoke was a smooth full tobacco experience. Lots of flavor with no harsh taste at all.

Between the great smoke and fun conversation with some of the regulars at the shop, it was a great way to beat the winter driving stress.

I have enjoyed all the CAO cigars I have tried and this one was no different. Will be wanting to add this to my humidor in the near future.

Very nice review, thank you!

When I am short on time, this is one of the three I look to as I really enjoy them (the other two being the LFD L-200 and the Aurora 1495 Corona).

Very nice review set up nicely, I too am a CAO fan. It is my everday smoke (of course Opus is my main squeeze).
I rate IMHO in the CAO line:
1) Italia
2) Brazilia
3) Anniversary Cameroon
I am looking for the Brazilia VS Italia sampler ( not having much luck) that CAO has put together at present because I like them both so much.

Quick Google turned up this place.

Thanks for the link I am going to order and maybe post a review, nice pic and those shapes and wrapper colors look tasty. ;)

Thanks for the review, I havent had one of these in over a year, maybe it's time to revisit them again.

Quite nice review, unfortunatelly You forgot about few pics :)

Thanks for the great review! This is one Brazilia vitola I haven't tried and you convinced me I should. I buy the Gol! by the box and love them. I buy that size because they can be had cheap on auction but prefer the torp.

I also think it's great your family participates in choir. Some of my fondest memories were of concert choir(bass). It's puts the spirit in faith!

Opus meX, I noticed you didn't include the Black. I wasn't a fan either until I tried the churchill(Frontier). It is by far the best of the Black line, IMO. Other than that, my tastes agree with yours perfectly!

Nice review....I've had a few of these and can't deny that they have a lot of flavor..it just doesn't sit right with my tastes though.

I've always said about this cigar, it's not for me..but I can see how others may find it tastey.

Well done.

Thanks Vortex,
To be honest I have never smoked the Gold or the Black either, nor has anyone ever really suggested them. It is worth a try though, I have never had a bad CAO as of yet. :)

The blacks are decent, I'm not much of a CAO fan, but I'll smoke a Soprano's or Black any day of the week.

I just picked up a box of 25 of these for $59.95 at Cigar Monster. I like the Gol size a little better but couldn't pass up the deal.
