This cigar has the loosest draw I have probably ever smoked. Even looser than Mayorga.

The flavor is pretty bland IMO. I find Mayorgas more interesting.

The smoke is strong against the back of your throat just because there is so much of it. Makes it a bit harsh IMO.

Overall not too impressed.

The Gol improves greatly with a little aging. I have a box that I'm going through now that was napping for a year and so far they have all been great.

Now if you want to try a little firecracker of a cigar try the Brazilia Pirahna.

Wow, the GOL I had knocked me on my a$$. Tons of flavor and power. Mayorgas (a favorite of mine) are much milder with lots of flavor. Isn't it amazing the different experiences we sometimes have with the same cigars? Of course I know we all have different tastes so that explains some of it. I'm resting a few more GOL's for a year or so in hopes they'll mellow but retain all that great taste that Bill alluded to :)

Smoke another Gol today right after lunch, tasty!

The Brazilia Gol, is one of my favorite smokes. Full of flavor and powerful. I would guess yours just needed some rest.

Interesting....cos aging makes cigars milder, no? Maybe my cigar was actually OVER aged? Or more likely a combnatin of circumstances and personal taste juct gave me a different opinion of the smoke.

THanks for your input guys :)

It was either a dud, or maybe you're just a MCW. ;)

I like the Sambas. A larger sized cigar with nice draw, but not huge like the GOL. I have had problems with cigars of very large ring sizes myself. I guess I just can't take the big fat ones and I think its ok for a guy to be ok with that. ;)

Let me add:

Placencia TKO!! More like a cherry bomb, but a great smoke. Also lasts longer than you'd think for a little stick.
