Can you help identify this smoke

Ok, the background is:

My best friends girlfriend works for a dentist. One of her customers apparently brought in a bunch of cigars for the girls as a thank you gift. She knew I smoked cigars and asked if I wanted it.

She described it from him as: The most expensive cigar he had with him, because he liked her the best. She said he said it was an ISOM and she said thank you. Apparently this guy owns part of a B&M which I won't be disclosing yet, because I don't know if I completely believe her or not. So I wont' go bad mouthing some B&M for what very well could be bull. I doubt its an ISOM

Anyways, here's the pics. Its got a box press to it. Its exactly 6" long and feels about the same ring size a Padron 1964 Exclusivo. But compared to one directly, it is not an exclusive.

Got any ideas?

looks like a genuine counterfit cuban

the pre embargo's aren't bad, but neither of those lines can really pass for cuban, especially that hardcore box press on the gcc's.

I've never encountered authentic Cuban cigars sold by US shops. It happens, but not nearly as often as one actually encounters.

Looks like a Mayorga Maduro to me.

Especially with that veiny rough wrapper it has.

That's entirely plausible. I've gotten through a box of Mayorga Toros Maduros and they are great smokes at only about $2.50 a stick.

i wasn't insinuating that he was selling cubans, if he actually does own part of a b&m.. Just that if my buddies girl is on the up and up, he claims to have isoms that he's giving away..

I'm gonna smoke it, but just thought I'd give it a go through the mill of those that know, first.. I'll report on it when I do smoke it.

Looks like El Meyor Espresso, but may be a little to light in its wrapper, hmm...

Looks alot to me like a Rocky Patel Edge Square Pressed...

I got 3 in my humi and have smoked 1 before.....

To me they tasted more like a Olde World Reserve than a edge (which is a good thing)....

If thats what it is you got yourself a pretty damn good smoke..
