I bought a humidor from the cp store a few months back. It's the glass top with the attached hygrometer readable from the outside. It states in the instructions that it is non-removabe.Here's the problem,it has been reading 80% to 87% for awhile(5 weeks)My cigars seem alittle on the moist side.I'm probably going to go with the beads in a few weeks but are my smokes OK until then.

Which humidor did you purchase?

If you open the lid, can you push the hygrometer out? Push from the inside out. I believe it's a snug fit. Let me know if this is possible.

I tried pushing it out before. It would not budge.

John

I shipped the Hygo out today. Should be there on Tuesday, Monday is a holiday.

I recieved a calibrated hygrometer from Burnt Tongue today and will report back.I might add that he bombed me with a 25ct sampler. That's a hell of a lot of cigars for someone like me who only smokes about 3 per week.I guess I will be all set for awhile.

Umm... Paul... You know what? I have a problem with my hygrometer calibration... Would You be so kind and send me one to compare yours and mine hygro-figures...?

;):p

Well,Burnt Tongues hygro has been in for 24 hours. His reads 79%.My fixed one reads 74%.I just ordered the 65% Viper beads.Sounds like this is the way to go.I'll report back when they arrive.

I've had the beads in for a few days now and my fixed hydro is reading 65 and Burnt tongue's is at 68 so I'm good.I have alot of smokes now and I know they will all be OK.

Pretty nice play all around. Glad to hear you got your humidor working
