I picked out twelve of our very best Cameroon wrapped cigars for our Weekly 12 special. The Cameroon 12 gets you two each of: La Flor Dominicana 2000 Series El Toro, La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet #1, Ashton Heritage Churchill, Ashton Heritage Corona Gorda, Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature, and Oliva Serie G Special G.

The normal retail value for this collection is $94.40. You can pick up these twelve cigars for only $65 this week.

We're still a couple more weeks from getting a lot of the new cigars from the trade show. However, we did receive a few new items yesterday. A couple sizes of the new 2010 Litto Gomez Diez Vintage came in.

We have the Cubano (5 x 50) and the Americano 5 3/4 x 46) in the shop right now. Both sizes go for $10.25/cigar and $221.50/box of 24.

Another great, new cigar that just arrived is the Fonseca Especial. These are normally handed out at Fonseca events, but we have singles and boxes of 20 available right now. The filler is all Dominican Ligero. The binder is a 1998 Dominican Criollo. And the wrapper is a dark, oily 1998 Honduran Criollo. Only one size is available, a 6 x 54 Toro Especial. Singles are going for $8.75 and the box of 20 for $157.50.

I'm adding new items to the website everyday so I'll make sure to keep everyone updated as far as the new releases go. If there is anything in particular you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,
Eric

UPS was good to us today. We just received some great, new items from Ashton.

La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor

La Aroma de Cuba was yet again one of my favorite cigars at the trade show. This new La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor, blended by Pepin Garcia, features a blend of aged Nicaraguan tobaccos for the filler/binder. The wrapper leaf is a dark Mexican Maduro. The couple I smoked at the trade show were absolutely amazing. I told my rep it tasted like no other cigar I had smoked before; he told me I was the third person that day to tell him that. We have all five sizes in stock right now.

Belicoso (5 1/2 x 54)
$8.70/cigar
$196.00/box of 25

Churchill (7 x 50)
$8.85/cigar
$198.50/box of 25

Magnifico (6 x 52)
$8.40/cigar
$189.00/box of 25

Robusto (5 x 50)
$7.60/cigar
$171.00/box of 25

Valentino (5 3/4 x 58)
$9.00/cigar
$202.50/box of 25

La Aroma de Cuba Lancero

Ashton only released 2,000 boxes of these Limited Edition La Aroma de Cuba Lanceros. This is the new La Aroma de Cuba blend that was re-made by Pepin Garcia a while back. The cigars measure 7 1/2 x 38. I have singles on the website for $8 and boxes of ten for $80.

The Perfection Collection

This is an outstanding collection of perfectos. I don't have the exact size for these cigars yet, I'll make sure to post the info once I hear back from my rep. What I do know is you get two each of: La Aroma de Cuba, La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial, San Cristobal, San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol, and the new La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor. This box of ten limited edition perfectos goes for $100. The Perfection Collection is also limited to only 2,000 boxes.

How much different does the new LAdC taste compared to the old blend? I was really upset to hear that Pepin had taken over one of my favorite cigars due to the fact we have enough Pepin blends on the market.

If you say they are as good or better, I'll look to trying some.

I was a little disappointed when I heard they were changing the blend. I like the old Honduran version better than the new Pepin Nicaraguan blend. The new blend seems to be a bit stronger than the older version. The new blend also doesn't seem to be as complex as the Honduran version. The new blend is pretty much a strong, spicy Nicaraguan with some hints of cedar to it. If you're looking for a cigar with a good amount of spice to it the new blend La Aroma's will definitely do the trick. Personally, I really liked how the Honduran version would give you some hints of sweetness.

Are they as good or better? I'd say they are not close to the old blend so you can't even really compare them that way. If I could make a suggestion I would say try the new La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor. I think the flavors in the Mi Amor are a lot closer to the old Honduran version of the La Aroma de Cuba than Pepin's new Nicaraguan blend.

If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for being honest about it. Very sad to hear that one of my old favorites are gone. If I had of known about it before it happened I would have stocked up. But that was always a hassle since you can't buy LAdC in Germany, I always had to bug friends to buy them for me :-/

Nothing against the Don, but lately all his blends are starting to taste the same. Not a real bad thing to be honest since he does make good cigars, however when it comes to old time favorites like the LAdC all I can think is "New Coke".

Thanks for the Mi Amor tip, I guess its time to bug one of my botls to hook me up with a 5er to try.
