The shop has a couple boxes of THESE Camacho Liberty's laying around for about the prices listed. Has anyone had one of these? I'm a huge proponent of the Corojo line and was wondering how this smoke stacks up to other $14 sticks (Opus, PAN/M's, etc.), is it worth it or would I be wasting my precious pesos. Thanks.

I have had Dimplomas, and I'll tell you what, they rocked my world. I love them. I don't know if they are the same blend or not.

The Diplomas are a big step over the Corojo & the Liberties are a step above the diplomas.

Corojo = good
Diplomas = great
Liberties = GREAT

Ive got an liberty amendment in the humi sitting. heard about the strength before, so i decided to let that bad boy rest awhile.

I smoked a Liberty today and it did nada for me. For the price, I'll stick with my PAMs :D

I've had a few Liberties from 2003 -- for the first half, I couldn't decide if I loved it or hated it -- then I pitched it about halfway through. For my money, I'd rather have an Opus, Padrón, Cohiba, etc. Actually I think there are a number of better sticks available for less money than the Liberty... but tastes vary.

Mine was from '03 also. It had great construction and burn. A nice white ash with lots of smoke. It just seemed very 1-D like an AVO Maduro or the like. Never really changing flavor or having any body at all.

thats to bad the regular Camacho stuff hits the spot for strengh and taste usually.

I've heard the same thing you guys are saying. I've had one in my humi for about a year now - I guess I'll just keep letting it sleep... The trouble is, by the time it's done resting it may end up being a great cigar - and I only have one...
