Wrapper: US Connecticut Broadleaf maduro
Binder: Honduran
Filler: Authentic Honduran Corojo

The SLR on this cigar stands for Special Limited Reserve these cigars are hand rolled in Honduras. Now I have always been a fan of Camacho and I love the Triple maduro and if the price would let me I would smoke one ever day. So I have been looking for a Camacho maduro cigar for some time that would fill that want for a Camacho Maduro cigar for a go to cigar. Did I find such a cigar well lets see.

Look: This cigar had a great looking dark Maduro cigar color with a few noticeable veins I would not call it ugly but it was not for sure the smooth wrapper you would find on an AF Anejo or a triple maduro.

1st half: I first lit this cigar and it burned even and gave off lots of smoke. I am thinking right off the bat this is my kind of cigar, strong bold flavors of pepper and spice with a hint of coffee. As I smoked the cigar seemed to mellow out a bit I would still say full bodied but the coffee flavor started to take front seat with some almost burnt chocolate or very dark chocolate flavors. The ash held firm for about an inch and then dropped off in a solid ash.

2nd Half: The second half of this cigar was much the same as the first half but with the spice and pepper flavors coming back for the second half. At this point I could defiantly feel the Nicotine kick from this very full bodied cigar. So a take a few sips of the apple juice I had with me and finished this smoke off. Burn was even throughout the smoke and this cigar had a nice even draw all the way thought to the nub.

Conclusion: This is cigar for after a big steak dinner because if you smoke this on an empty or light stomach you are going to feel it. This is a full bodied cigars not as strong as say a Ligero cigar like the CAO Lx2 or La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero but still a very full bodied smoke. I am sad to say this will not be an everyday go to smoke only cause of the strength but this will for sure go into the list of cigars I can always count on when I am craving the full bodied smoke. And for the price of 7 bucks a stick is ever reasonable for a cigar of this quality. rp

Nice review! Ive had a few of these and really enjoy them, though Ive only had the rothschild size.

Great overview! Am a Camacho fan so will have to look for this - knowing when to have it.
