Camacho Liberty 2006 Limited Edition (40,000 total) natural wrapper, in a coffin. 6 x 50

Don't know a lot about this cigar other than it was $14. I had a gift card from Christmas to a cigar shop and figured I would splurge on one of the most expensive ones in the humidor. Rested in my humi for a month.

Construction seemed good, draw and burn was very good as I never had to touch up. I won't go into a lot of detail but I will say that if I was blindfolded, I would have told you not to pay more than 3 bucks for it. Now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible, it just had no distinctiveness. It was just kind of plain. Like smoking just to smoke. Also, as I write this the morning after, I have a terribly irritated throat. I am no expert, I just know what I like.

Camacho Liberty-thumbs down for me.

Hmmm got one for christmas and it has been resting for over a month, might have to dig it out and try it.

Thanks for the review.

Never been a fan of Camacho cigars. They seem to have a strength for strength sake philosophy. There's no nuance or subtlety to there product.

Doc.

Thanks for the review. May try some if I can get it at a reasonable price.

Wow I actually really enjoy the liberty 2006 yes it did have some power but after the 1st third they burst into a very rich and creamy cigar. It has a flavor profile that I really enjoy, I'm down to my last five and tryin to hold on to those to try this aging thing. Send any you want to trash or trade to me

I have one sitting in its pretty little coffin waiting to be smoked. I hope there's more to it than you say.

The first one I had was ok but after 6 months of resting, they went from ok to a very nice smoke.

I had an 05 that sat for over a year before I fired it up on my cruise last year. I thought it was pretty good.

There are many sticks in the Camacho family that I truly enjoy. The Diplomas, the 11 whatever and the 7 whatever. The Legendarios. Good stuff. I've also met Christian on more than one occassion and he's a great guy and made me like their company that much more.

But...those Libertys....not at all worth it in my book. Too many other great sticks in the same price point to make it worth buying a Liberty. As others have said...it's not that they are bad...just "ok" and not worth it IMHO.

Just got a couple of the 2007's at one of the local B & M's. I'll let them rest for a while before putting fire to em

Xf'n2. I picked one up a while back for $19. What the *?!$ was I thinkin'? The 2006 has a Cameroon wrapper, but IMHO, just buy a Don Carlos. Nothing special about this cigar.

To this date, the only Camacho I've enjoyed was the SLR, and I haven't smoked one of those in a minute.

im also not a fan of Camacho's

I like a strong flavored cigar but they take it ot the extreme, the Coyolar was one of the worst sticks ive EVER smoked...

I can take there reg Corojo its not too bad and the SLR Maduro is soso but as a whole im not a fan of there company.

I had a Camacho Liberty 2003 this year, with 4 years of age (duh!) on it. It was a damn good cigar and a nubber to boot.

Shane let that stick rest!

I was gifted two of these from 2004, the Liberty Amendment XII which were issued for the 2004 presidential election season.

I too have never been much of a Camacho fan BUT I have to say, I think letting these sit for a while (three to four years in my case) really helps these cigars for what the rest of you guys are saying.

I lit one up tonight and I'm still smoking it now.

The construction is top rate, the burn and draw are near perfect. I do agree that the overall taste isn't much to write home about but all in all, I thought it was a pretty good cigar.

Yep, lipstick on a pig.

I smoked an 07 which was very flat and grassy tasting. And had two 06 which were no better to me. I would call it a $3 cigar in a snazzy $13 coffin, at $16 I will never buy another. The guy at my local shop was raving about them, but they pretty much sucked.

Check this out, this is the last one I clipped when I decided I was going to give them another try.

That piece of string is in there tight, I tried to pull it out with a leatherman and I herd crunching about halfway up the stick.
Yeah , I have another left and I am pretty sure I will not be the one to smoke it.

see ya
