Well I just received my New Humi..

I read the directions that came with the Caliber III that said do not use the salt test. SO instead I put the caliber into an A.F "HUMIBAG".

Well it has been in the bag for about 2 hours and it is sitting at 65%...I thought they were suppose to be at 70%..LOL!!

Oh well do you think this is an accurate way to check your Hygrometer?

Thanks..any input is appreciated.

Also when breaking in the humidor. Should I just follow the directions that came with the box? Or is their a better break in method?

The Humi bags are getting old. :whistling:

Do the salt test for 24 hours. Then check it and see what it says.

The reason that electronic Hygrometers shouldn't be salt tested is that the salt can corrode the electrical contacts. If you have a cal'd analog one you can check them against each other but I have't seen a Caliber off by over 3% myself.
