Is there any difference between the cigars sold in Cabs of 50 vs. the cigars sold in boxes, besides price? I am going to buy some cigars to age 1-2 years and am interested in buying a cabinet of 50. Given the availability of Cabs vs. boxes (the boxes seem to be readily available) is there any reason to hold out to find cabinets?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Cigars in dress boxes are box pressed. Cigars in CABs are not.

Personally I like the nice, round cigars from CABs

As the referenced thread pointed out, there are those who believe cigars age better in CABs. Since you're only planning on aging them for a year or two this really isn't a factor.

If cabs are available and the price is right, I will pick a cab over a dress box. The cigars themselves are not different.

Thanks guys. I did a search but I quit before 2002. You guys are great!

Looks like I'll go with the cab.
