Please see my Troya review for a little background. Ricardo also included five Cabanas Perfectos in this months selection.
This is also a machine-made Havana and lemme tell ya what the good Doctor has to say:
"For the new line of machine-made cigars re-launched in 1989, the brand Cabanas is often regarded as a sister brand of Belinda and La Corona."
"Medium in strength, Cabanas have a stronger blend than La Corona and Belinda..."
"The cigars are made from long strand fillers.... versus the short strand fillers of machine-made cigars of other brands."
WOW, sounds impressive huh?
Well I got news for ya, this has to be one of the WORST cigars I've ever smoked  Where do I begin......
First off let's start with construction and appearance. The cigar felt "mushy" and the very thin wrapper was already starting to come apart.
I light it and it will barely stay lit. It tasted like crap and about half way down, it started burning too fast down the middle and would not stay lit. The outter wrapper started to completely separate half way through.
The draw was inconsistent and I would rate it as "Terrible"
Okay, I sez, maybe just a bad one (the one I had last night) so before I write these off, I'll try another one.
Well, my experience with the second one was just as bad.
These are just plain horrible cigars but since they are Cuban tobacco, that was the only reason they didn't get tossed out the car window.
My rating on the cA scale:
70
The only thing lower in my book are the Thompson cheapies.....
