I enjoy visiting cigar-friendly places during my business trips. I have to admit Ybor City is the mother lode for B&M’s. I am not affiliated with these places, but thought I might offer a review in the event one of my CP BOTL’s finds himself in one of these locations and was looking for a decent place to have a cigar.

Early March I was on a business trip to Clearwater Beach, FL. My final day a colleague and I took a trip to Tampa (Ybor City). We started the afternoon off at “King Corona”. He is new to cigars and I am not a beer connoisseur (just a Coors light drinker). King Corona has a nice selection of cigars and I selected something mild to start (a couple Oliva Series G Petit Perfecto’s). He selected a couple pints of Okocim Pilsner.

King Corona has an entire wall that is a humidor, with a pretty good selection of sticks. The other wall is a bar and there is a patio out front that is a nice place to sit and people watch. BTW, it was spring break.

In mid April I was on a business trip to the Delta, PA area. We were on a mission looking for a decent seafood (crab cakes) restaurant when we happened into “The Humidour” a B&M in Cockeysville, MD. They have a great selection of cigars. I picked us out a couple of Padron Serie 1964 Principe’s and we lounged in very comfortable leather chairs watching sports on a big screen TV. No bar in “The Humidour” but we made do.

So if you make to one of these places, I hope they make you as comfortable as they did me.

I am headed to downtown Chicago next week. I think with the new smoking ban in effect, the downtown area may be a bit challenging to find a place for a cigar.
