College football fans, those in the northeast who, like me, don't really follow the game too much, probably recognize the name Eric LeGrand. If you don't, he played for Rutgers, and was paralyzed from the neck down making a tackle in a game vs Army.

This offseason they signed Greg Schiano as their head coach, and now Coach Schiano is bringing one of his most improtant guys with him.

It's nice to see something good like this coming out of the NFC South which has been dogged with some of the worst football stories since they made the division, most recently with the Saints bounty system and listening in to opposing coaches.

ETA: Here's a link to a story about just how much a part of Coach Schiano's family Eric became while playing at Rutgers- http://bit.ly/z0ySbo

This is exactly what the NFL needs right now. With the Saints scandal with the players/coaches and the Bounty List shenanigans casting a dim light on the NFL, the league is in desperate need of an image upgrade and this might be just what it needs. I hope he makes it.
