Brugal Rum 9 years old

Hello all,

I am back from Dominican Republic and bought a bottle of Brugal rum 9 Years old apparently the best they have (I know nothing about rum). I did not tasted it yet. Is this a good rum? I am new to cigars also. Any recommendation of cigars to go with it?T hanks for your thought.

Is 50$ Us for this bottle was expensive? (I am from Canada... )

I've got good news and bad news for you. Unfortunately Brugal Anejo can be had here for somewhere around $15. However, I find it to be a good rum. I enjoy the sweet caramel flavor it has. It could be sipped or mixed with coke. When I went to the DR I bought 2 bottles for $15 each because I liked it when I was there. Then after searching back home here I found you could get it here too.

The standard Brugal sold in the US (Anejo) mentioned by 4thecrew is not 9 years old, the extra Viejo is 8 so I'm not sure which one you have. As mentioned the Anejo is fairly priced at about $15 USD while the extra Viejo isn't shipped to the US it runs about $30 in the UK.

If that is what you have then $50 USD is a great price compared to what is charged in the EU. I have no idea what the central American prices for it are though.
