Box Split ?

LOL, hell no.  In the cigar is probably an honest $30 in value, and $39,970 in "prestige."  Edit: with the trip, I suppose its only $36,970 in prestige.

Good for Callum!  More power to him.  No reason he shouldn't be enjoying his success to the fullest.  However, when I read this story, a sad thought sprung to mind.  If Callum were in the lone tobacco shop in Canton, MA...he wouldn't even be old enough to buy a cigar even though he's already managed to build and sell a coffee business for millions by the age of 18.  Go figure.

For $63 a cigar that is blended custom to your taste, including a trip to Nicaragua, well if you've got the money and want that kind of custom service it seems almost reasonable.

I can't find much on this kid, but I would be very surprised if he built this business himself.  There was THIS article about him, in which it states:

"His business had him traversing Africa and Europe during his middle-teens."

So at 14 or 15 he was traveling for his work, which would suggest the business started prior to that.  A 12yr old generally doesn't have the kind of start up capital that this kid seemed to have.  Either way, pretty cool story.

agreed!

At the ripe old age of 18, I'm sure his palate is as such that he could differentiate the difference between a good cigar and a bad cigar.

He probably wouldn't get your sarcasm, either!
