Okay Ordered a few boxes. I am not sure what factories these are from though. Any help?

They are all newer 2004 codes, and the pinned thread here doesnt have them all

Cohiba Robusto - Box 25 RTG ABR 04,
Bolivar Corona - Box 25 GKI ABR 04
Cohiba Siglo II - Box 25 AXC JUL 04
Trinidad Reyes - Box 12 OIK NOV 04
 
GKI is definitely the Partagas factory. Good luck on the rest ever since they supposedly started rotating codes. No one has ever proven this or disproven it though.

Alright. Yah I knew it would be hard. Just wasnt sure how many others have seen factory codes they are unsure of. Maybe we should start a list of all the new ones from legit sources??? :blush:
 
The only thing you know for sure is the mon and date. And that doesn't mean when they were made or boxed for sure. They usually seal and stamp them when they send them out of the factory

In 2003 or so they begin to as you say rotate and mix up the codes. They did not want anyone to know were they were made as cigar smokers precieved that the smaller regonal factorys made poorer quaility cigars
Now this year when i was in havana in jan the 05 codes don't even hav the month on it

i have a friend in havana and i'll ask him to go to the paragas and other lg factory and see what is currently used

another thing to note they have a new stamp its smaller then the old and under a black light the seal of cuba shows in yellow. All the cigars sold in cuba also now have a habanos cuban halogen on the front of the box. I do not know if the dealers are using this or not??

Not sure if you got my PM.

It seems as if the smaller factories are switching out codees left and right. where as the major ones are rotating theirs every so often.. SO bascically the concensuce on many other boards was to only be concerned with the dates.

Also your idea is a good one about new box codes.. Anyone care to start a thread?
