This is a beautifully made cigar, light milk chocolate in color with a smooth uniform wrapper. I used the "circumcision cut" and at first thought the draw would be a little tight for my liking, but it turned out just fine. Pre-lit draw reveals woody, moderately sweet tobacco flavors.
Once lit, I settled in to watch the Seahawks pound the 49ers on MNF. Luckily the cigar was good enough to make up for the lack of entertainment.
The first third or so was very smooth, medium bodied with a dominate toasty flavor. The cigar produced tons of thick creamy smoke which I love, reminiscent of my beloved Padron 64. The ash was a loose, burnt white and fell an inch and a half in.
On to the second third and now the flavors started to warm up. While "toasty" was still in the forefront I also started to experience an earthy, vegetal flavor on the back of my palate. Still bordering on the lighter side of medium bodied but full of all the wonderful flavors you expect.
Final third and the strength has now made an appearance. A woody flavor highlights this finishing stage, and while the cigar starts to heat up just a bit, its nothing to be alarmed about. A spicy, semisweet cacao finish is quite notable.
All in all this cigar is smoking very well right now and has all of the makings of a future legend. It was my first BMG and I absolutely loved everything from the presentation to the finish. Can't wait to smoke many, many more.
