Hello everyone,

I wanted to share with you my experience with the BOLIVAR Belicosos Finos, a cigar that really impressed me.

Main Characteristics
  • Vitola: Belicoso (5-1/2×52)
  • Origin: Cuba
  • Smoking Time: 60-75 minutes
My Experience
From the first moment, the BOLIVAR Belicosos Finos showcases a brilliant, oily, smooth colorado wrapper. To the touch, it feels consistent, with few bumps and minimal visible veins. Bringing it to my nose, I detected a delicious aroma of sweet wood and damp earth. The cold draw had pleasant hints of coffee and hazelnuts.

First Third
Once lit, this cigar showed its strength with spicy and earthy flavours, and a slight dry note. The first third was a delightful combination of earth, wood, and toasted notes of pastry and coffee, with slight spicy hints adding complexity.

Second Third
The second third maintained the earthy and coffee flavours, with cocoa and leather becoming prominent. The spices began to fade, allowing subtle fruity notes to emerge. The smoke was abundant and light gray, while the ash, a dark gray, remained firm and consistent.

Final Third
The final third, after about 45 minutes of smoking, intensified the sweet wood and roasted coffee flavours. The earthy base, cocoa, and leather persisted, but the mineral note disappeared, giving way to flavours of nuts like hazelnuts and a slight citrus touch. This final third was particularly delicious, and I found myself enjoying it until I burnt my fingers.

Conclusion
The BOLIVAR Belicosos Finos is a balanced and flavourful cigar. Its impeccable construction and flavour profile make it one of the best high-strength Habanos I've tried. Additionally, its affordable price makes it even more appealing. It's a cigar that invites you to light one after another, enjoying its complexity and richness until the very end.

I hope you enjoyed this review. If anyone else has tried this cigar, I'd love to hear your opinions.

Cheers and happy smoking,

My favorite Bolivar from the current line up. Just grabbed a box of these but unfortunately I disagree with the affordable part at least compared to what they cost before. But it is definitely worth the coin 👍👍

I agree with all this, BBF is top of the current pack of production (in general imo, not just for the Bolivar marca).

That said…. I miss thinner RG bolivars the most. Like the new gold medal, idk… maybe a 48 rg is fine but maybe call it a golder medal instead for $100 a cigar or whatever? Or they can take back the extra 3mm or whatever and charge me $150 a box again, I’m good with that.
