Actually, I probably was one of the first hits Cigsid made, but before I could post about it my sweetie of a mother-in-law went in the hospital, had a 17 day stay and didn't come out. Thankfully, there was time for all family members to come in for a final visit. During that, another family member had some traumatic legal issues that took up a good bit of time and in all honesty the last few weeks have been the most difficult in many years.
Our lives are returning to some sense of normality and making this post is one of the things I have really been wanting to do.
Bill's generosity and striking ability are now becoming well known and there are other posts indicating how well he does.that, but at the time I had no clue.
He did indicate he was going to share several cigars with me, so I sent a package off to him on the same day thinking that surely I had taken up the slack on my end.
No way, he sent a good bit more than he indicated - some of them being cigars I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to try.
I haven't had much time for smoking and wanted to wait till I would not be under such stress to try some of the things Bill sent, but did try the Por Larranaga Encantos.
This is one of my favorite vitola's, and I was quite pleasantly surprised. It started a little milder than I normallly smoke and initially I thought I was going to be disappointed. Not so, there was enough flavor to be satisfying, and the more I smoked the better it got. Mid-way down it became medium in strength and quite good. This cigar is helping me learn how to really enjoy milder smokes.
I will either split a box of these or just go for a box. Darn good smoke!
Thank you Bill, your kindness and generosity have have meant a lot to me at a time of stress in my life.
Warm regards
Ken
