Actually, I probably was one of the first hits Cigsid made, but before I could post about it my sweetie of a mother-in-law went in the hospital, had a 17 day stay and didn't come out. Thankfully, there was time for all family members to come in for a final visit. During that, another family member had some traumatic legal issues that took up a good bit of time and in all honesty the last few weeks have been the most difficult in many years.

Our lives are returning to some sense of normality and making this post is one of the things I have really been wanting to do.

Bill's generosity and striking ability are now becoming well known and there are other posts indicating how well he does.that, but at the time I had no clue.

He did indicate he was going to share several cigars with me, so I sent a package off to him on the same day thinking that surely I had taken up the slack on my end.

No way, he sent a good bit more than he indicated - some of them being cigars I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to try.

I haven't had much time for smoking and wanted to wait till I would not be under such stress to try some of the things Bill sent, but did try the Por Larranaga Encantos.

This is one of my favorite vitola's, and I was quite pleasantly surprised. It started a little milder than I normallly smoke and initially I thought I was going to be disappointed. Not so, there was enough flavor to be satisfying, and the more I smoked the better it got. Mid-way down it became medium in strength and quite good. This cigar is helping me learn how to really enjoy milder smokes.

I will either split a box of these or just go for a box. Darn good smoke!

Thank you Bill, your kindness and generosity have have meant a lot to me at a time of stress in my life.

Warm regards

Ken

Yes that's Bill - a very generous BOTL that doesn't play fair. ;)  Sorry to hear about your tough stretch Ken.

Thanks. While I will be a good while getting over the loss of my sweetie of a mother-in-law, most of my stress has been from helping others resolve their distress.

I'm 67, semi-retired and at this point not used to higher levels of stress so it has been draining, then something akin to an adrenalin crash as things settle down.

Getting to a much better spot, and can hardly wait to get to more of the cigars Bill sent

Nice hit Bill!

I hope things get better for you Ken and sorry for your loss.

Good job Bill!

Ken I hope everything continues to right itself in your life.......Good luck brother!

Ken, it is good to see you back here, we missed you brother!

Kick back, enjoy some peace, and smoke a great cigar...

Who is this man named Bill and why does he go by CigSid?  He's killing the board with these bombs, nicely done Bill.

He is at it again ! (well I read about this being one of the first but still...)

Nice play Bill!

Ken, so sorry to hear about your loss. I certainly hope things settle down for you.

Sorry for your loss, Ken.

A well deserved and timely hit.

Well done, Bill!

Sorry to hear about the hard times Ken.  It's good to hear that things are slowing down for you.

Bill has a way of just knowing when to put the smack down on people.  Very nice hit!
