BIG SMOKE in NYC

I wanna go, especially since I live in Brooklyn, and its pretty convenient for me location wise. Is there a list of attending retailers (food, drink, cigars) or maybe events (like cigar rolling, tasting, etc.) available for me to look at now? I went to the Cigar Aficionado website and didn't find any detailed information other than tickets prices.

When is it?
I found it:

2006 Events
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tickets @ $175, November 21, 2006 Session I New York 4:30 - 7:00 pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tickets @ $175, November 21, 2006 Session II New York 7:30 - 10:00 pm

cigar smoking is an expensive hobby. it all depends on how much you are really into it. There are enough people willing to pay the money to go to the big smoke so the tickets are priced as such, same as there are enough people buying 30 dollar cigars so they are priced as such.

I'll be working at the CAO Booth.....stop by and say HELLO if you get the chance. Have your picture taken with Frank Vincent and get a Soprano's Cigar at the same time. :)

Hope to see many of you then, Steve

FYI, I'm a newbie here. Nice place you have and thanks for letting me be a part of CP!!

Hi toje,
Welcome to CP
Post an introduction in the " Introduce Yourself Here" forum.

Steve:

we are one of the largest sellers of CAO in the Northeast - I LOVE the CAO Brazilia Gol!

Myself and a few of my guys will stop by to say hello and meet with Frank

oh man, CAO is one of the brands appearing, I WAS having doubts about going because of the price and its only 3 and a half hours. But I love CAO.... hmmm, then again, I love cigars.

I have heared that cao will give you a cigar to smoke and another coupon for a cigar.

True....smoke one during the show, bring the butt and coupon back to the booth and get another for the road. :)

sounds good ill see you there.

this event does not make sense for me. It is overpriced.
Every cigar I buy locally is overpriced; but, I still do it. I'd love to hit a Big Smoke sometime.

Exactly why lately new cigars are in boxes of 50 or more, limited editions, rare, only so many rolled, and high in price with an extravagant light up talking cigar box doubleing as a humidor.
I smell another boom with higher prices than the last one in the future.

I want to attend the event, can't though....maybe next year.
The price is worth it to me since I'd take advantage of everything there....food,wine,spirits,& beer tasteing,food,food,cigars,friends,seminars..........maybe learn something or more of something.I'd like to learn to roll a gar' too.
Yep,its worth it.
