What is the best way to store singles in a cooler? Would you guys recommend getting empty cigar boxes? a tupperware container? Something else? Right now I have a ton of singles in cigar baggies, and they are mounting VERY VERY high and eating up a lot of valuable space in my cooler. I tried to do a very quick search, but i'm running late, supposed to be at work in just a few minz, so i appologize if i'm repeating a stupid question!!! ???

Whats wrong with the baggies you're currently using? All of the suggestions you offered... cigar boxes, tupperware container... work fine as do your current storage in baggies.

If storage room is an issue the boxes will take up more room than baggies. Of course the best way to fix your problem is to get a bigger coolidor or smoke em. ;)

I went to my local B&M and got some empty cigar boxes to store my singles. They work great but as of lately I have filled all of them up. I also have a couple of ziplock bags that I store some of the overflow in, I just throw them in the bag and leave the top of the bag open. Hope this helps

Smoke more ... buy less!

Nothing you haven't heard yet coming from me, but I also use cigar boxes for my singles. I find it easier to locate specific sticks if I have a little bit a order to them.

bedpans lined with spanish cedar.

they stack well

These work great!

Edit to add: You can stack them, and they are open to make it easy to dig through, and harder to lose cigars. Beats putting them in boxes IMHO.

Thanks everyone! I think i'm going to leave them in baggies for now..until i cannot fit anymore in...then i'll go from there. I really like those cedar trays..kind of pricey tho :( . maybe a HUGE tupperware container would work best.

Alright...enough. If a $10 wooden tray is pricey I have to wonder what kind of cigars you are storing. I mean seriously.

In your first post you said the singles were taking up too much room in your humi. If you are already storing them in baggies you have the best storage available as far as space saving measures are concerned. Adding boxes or trays will INCREASE the amount of room needed.

Sorry for the rant/lecture but If you attend my next two classes on space saving tips for the humidor challenged you'll get an official Rocket Scientist Certificate. :sign:

I said pricey b/c i would need about 5-7 at least...

I'm going to stick to larger ziplocs. and i'm sure that'll help quite a bit. Thanks!

Yep got four of them in a group buy, I love em! Course I have space for them as well with a 150 Quart cooler. They take up the bottom. Box storage on the top two shelfs work's great from there!

A cheap but effective way to make a singles tray is, if you have a few empty boxes laying around, is to take the lids off and then glue them side by side.

Sorry in advance for the stupid question, but.... If you store different cigars together in a box, do you run the risk of those cigars taking on other cigars' flavor?

Unless you are storing flavored cigars next to non-flavored cigars I wouldn't worry about it.
