I'm probably going to be in Chicago for a few days next week, and I was just wondering where the best places to smoke are. Any good microbreweries to hit? I will have some time to kill during the day while my wife is there on business. :)

The only time I was in Chicago was for a layover on a flight to Penn. They put us up at the Westin hotel. I guess it's the one closest to O'Hare. But they have this great cigar lounge on the first floor and they also have a lobby bar that you can smoke cigars in. Both have big screen TV's and leather chairs. Very nice...and a nice surprise to relax. Coming from California, "The anti-smoking state", it was a very nice change. Check it out.

There are plenty of places in Chicago to have a cigar or enjoy a microbrew - unfortunately its a big town!!!. It takes about 1 1/2 hours from north side to south side on the exressways. If you tell us where you plan on being (i.e., northern suburbs, southern suburbs, western suburbs, downtown, north side, south side, west side, etc.), we'll give you some great places to go. The more specific the better.

If you're up for it, we can probably do a Chicago crew herf!!! I'm sure we'll at least get the ol' standbys to go!!!

As far as microbreweries go you must check out Goose Island, you can smoke cigars there too. There are two of them, go to the original in LIncoln Park. I don't know the exact address off hand (PM me and I'll look it up) but its by Shefield and Clyborn a couple steps west.
