Hey everyone.

Just wanting to know what coolers everybody likes or dislikes. I've been lookinfg for around a 60 quart cooler for my coolidor, but I can't find one with ribbing or grooves for shelves.

Just want the knowledge from all of you guys.

Robert

Igloo's are definitely the way to go. They are well made and you can find them pretty cheap at Sams or Costco.

I'm leaning toward the igloo. Just haven't found one with the grooves yet.

Come on guys, I know you have some coolidors just dying to show their stuff. Let see some pics and hear some thoughts.

When I need some extra space for a bit, just grabbed a Coleman for a few bucks from the local ACE hardware.

REally, any good quality cooler will work and can be bought for pretty dang cheap. It just depends on how big you want it, how versatile you want the shelving to be and how much your willing to spend.

the 100 qt coleman I got from Sportmart for 40 looks exactly like gtphale's igloo.

gtphale, how did you get your shelves to stay? And what kind of shelves are those in your pic? I wanna build my coolidor like yours!

I have a marine igloo 160qt. I like it since its a great size, has slots for shelves if going vertical but also has a lip for a horizontal shelf.

The handles fold in flat so you can put it vertical. Drain plug is a nice size allows the cord of a cigar oasis to be run through and you can get the cap back on too.

The Igloo I have has slots that run down the sides of the cooler. I just picked up some square rod doll and cut it to size. Some people have found wire shelves and cut them or found them to the right size and used that also.

Spent too many hours for my liking this weeeknd in the stores that would have coolers, looking for the perfect one. I found NONE over 100 qt with slots for shelves. Also, I noticed that all of them were pretty "tippy" when going vertical. I'm going to have decent bucks woth of cigars in the thing, and am having trouble finding a decent cooler. Hope i can find one soon, so I don't go back on the promise to myself and get the cabinet humi.
The one I hoped would be good, the 120 qt igloo cooler that walmart has on sale for 39.99 has no slots for shelves...otherwise it might have been pretty good.
ANybody have a link to a cooler 100qt and up that they know for a fact to have shelving slots AND decetn vert stability?

I was hoping to use igloo, as it had been recommended to me, but liek I said, no shelf possibilities, and quite "wobbly." I might get creative and build a stand and shelves myself...that might work out OK.

I would think most coolers are going to be wobbly. They weren't made to stand on end. Like you said, if you can build yourself a stand of some sorts that would give you more stability.
