Well,
This morning as I walked to my mailbox on my day off, I got my package from Emmett aka PuffNStuff, and was as happy as a kid on Christmas. Well, as I got out the humi to pick out some smokes for him, I looked at one of my DCM's I'd been saving. Don't know how or why, but I found a small circle hole. Since I keep some stored in my humi, and about 1/4 more in a seperate humi, I had alot of looking to do. I marked 5 that looked funny, and brought the DCM to EShaw aka Eric at the tinderbox. Eric wasn't sure, so I took all of them, and put them in my fridge. tommorrow, they will hit the freezer for 3-4 days, and so will begin, the longest week of my life. I'm usually a 2 a day man, and since last night, I got locked out of my house, I didn't get my usual Sunday smoke. So since my cigars are chilling out, I have a few to pick from, but I'm going on my third day (Tuesday) without a cigar. I know I'll cave tommorrow and run to the shop and get one lol. Pray I make it threw the week guys.

And also, what do I do about the one with the hole? I mean, I know they will be dead, but throwing away a DCM is kind of like ripping off my arm! lol. I'll take any help you guys might offer!

John

John, I was thinking about it a little more, and it sure did look suspicious. Can you bring the others in question to show me?

btw, thanks again for that Esplendido!

How do you get locked out of your house?

There MUST be a rock in the yard you coulda used to break a window.

As for the cigar with the hole in it... SMOKE IT! Bugs are just extra protein! :)

Smoke the stick.

If this is the only stick with a hole in it, the hole is usually the exit point at which the beetle left.

Hopefully it wasn't a pregnant mommy beetle looking for a new place to set up housekeeping! :( But the freezer stay should do it.

Found the same thing in a little La Luna I pulled the other day. There are a few too many sticks in this humi to put in the freezer, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on things.

Anyone know how big beetle eggs are?

eeek! sorry to hear about that K-boy.

can't be a welcoming site, seeing unwelcomed "guests" helping themselves to YOUR goodies.
seems rude enough. so yeah, I agree; the ones you don't freeze out, smoke out! ;)

in the meantime, blaze through what I sent to help you through the week.

good luck with the extermination.

puff, you've helped me threw the week! eric, I looked again last night before the freezer dropped and found an RYJ i'll have to show you. there's two holes in it... gulp.

CC is there once again to rap the hands of the wicked with his spelling ruler of justice!

"there's" is a contraction for "there is" Do you say "There is two holes in it" or "There are two holes in it." ???

right, but shouldn't there be a period (.) after the statement; ""there's" is a contraction for "there is""?
and then also a question mark (?) after the question; "Do you say "There is two holes in it" or "There are two holes in it.""?
:p

nah eric, not threadjacking...we're just mimicking on the english language and grammar what those beetles will do to cigars- butcher, eat through and spit out etc..
(hopefully not john's cigars, though!)

see? my contribution is my stubborn refusal to capitalize letters that should be capitalized. :0

no, in all seriousness, keep us posted on your progress, john!
*that* is certainly no laughing matter. :(
