ive been wanting to replace the crappy stock humidifier that came with my humi for a while and am wondering if i should get the Puckifier(beads) or the crystal humidifier by madelaine inc. is one or the other better, or do they basically do the same thing?

Don't be a 'hate-r' man. The guy searched the internet and found us.
Geesh, FL must have put a little stress on ya. Chill and have a cigar.

I am sparing no quarter for those who do not abide by the rules. Crappy questions and no clue on what the Cap key is for gets the standard response

They do the same thing, but the beads are better, IMO.

What Cap key are you bozos talking about? I can't find it on my keyboard.

Anthony(tone-ny) is right. This has been discussed ad nauseum here. A few simple searches should yield you some very helpful info. As Steve said, they do the same thing, it's really a matter of preference. I would recommend trying both to see which you like better. I've used both and I agree with Steve, the beads do the job better. When you get a chance, head on over to the Intro page and tell us a bit about yourself. Good luck with your search.

Hey - thanks for clearing that up. Now we have the answer in ANOTHER thread!

I don't know that there is an "answer" per se, but rather varying opinions. But anything for you Gary. Btw, this thread is useless without a gratuitous NSFW link. :whistling:

Well since you are answering, oven baked cat litter works best and is the cheapest. A close second would be anti-freeze, but I hear it makes the color of the wrapper turn slightly

Just make sure to pull all the blue crystals out of the cat litter, they're carcinogenic, or so I've read. I use Litter Pearls Cat Litter. They are exactly the same material as beads, silica sand not silica gel, and they cost anywhere from $2.50 to $5.00/lb. depending on the qty. you buy. Way cheaper than even the fleabay beads.

Bet you thought it was age that turns the cello!

Bruce, I'm glad you bought that up. I prefer to take the cellos off. I put them back on before I smoke the cigar to assist in the cutting of the cigar. But I will say this my humidor suffers from seasonal disorder, but I was able to compensate for it by following the advice from Bill Clinton. Now I'm running low on some of my favorites, so if I post them do you think I can get my mooch on?

But do you take the cedar off...and do you save the older ones to place on new smokes? How does that effect test?

No, the cedar assists in lighting and keeping the cigar lit. This is especially helpful during golfing as you don't have to re-light your cigar as the cedar maintains your ash properly! Geez, don't you know anything Gary?

Thats the second time I've heard somebody say they smoke cigars on the golf course. I bet you dumbarses drink beer there too.
