Which cigars are highly rated yet very cheap?

Example, I bought a box of Helix 550 they have a mid 80's rating(cigar aficionado). Very good mild smoke. Great construction and cool smooth flavor. The box cost me $55. :p

I would like know what you guys know about high rated, low priced cigars!

Thanks

TonyDogs ;)

AF Chateau Fuente is really good. Another great buy are the Gran Habanos!

You might also look at the CAO Brazilia line; these are among my favorite everyday smokes....

ps - the search function would work well with this topic too. it has been covered quite a few times...

Padron regular line--anything that ends in 000 in Maduro. (or delicias).

CFs are another good suggestion.

MMMmmmmm, or you could buy some grape juice and just soak you Opus's in it, then hang them to dry.

LC smoker thanks for the advice,
A.F. I enjoy those.
CAO brazilian line I will check out.
Gran Habanos= I have heard good things about this line so now I really am going to pick up some of these.

Thanks Again

3rd the motion on the Padrons, in particular (in my opinion) the 5000. They were recently rated 89 by CA in the Corona Gorda category, and in the past I've seen them rated even higher by Cigar Insider and others. They prices are reasonable even in retail shops, and they're even better on the Internet. I like the other sizes as well, but in my opinion, the fatter the Padron, the better. I find more complexity in the tastes.

The Chateau Fuente's are in the high 80s with CigarAficionado, and run about $3.50-$6.

My favorite is now the Gran Habano #3 churchill. I got them for $4.15 and they are delicious. Cigar Aficionado rated it an 85-87 I believe, in the August 2005 issue with MJ on the cover.

To each is their own. Sometimes a high rated ceegar is not necessarily the best. Each person has their own tastes- smoke em if you enjoy em ;)

gran habano #5, got a box toro size for $40.00 :D

Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 (Gold)

Problem though is they just jacked the heck out of the price :0 Just a coupld of months ago, I could get a box of the Toros for $67.00 from SeriousCigar but everywhere I look now, they are over $90.00.

Unless any of you guys out there who are smarter than me (and honestly, that ain't too hard to do  ) know who has them cheaper, PLEASE TELL ME. :p

I would agree with the ones mentioned in this thread, except the White Owls of course. I only know one type of person that smokes those. :whistling:

I'd love to know that too. The cheapest I've ever seen the Gran Robusto is for around $54. Come on, share the love. :p
