Baghdad Bombing

As of today, I've officially been a cigar smoker for two weeks. I'm reading and learning as much as my free time allows, but still feel like I know very little about cigars. At some point in the last two weeks, I found CP, lurked for a while, and finally joined. I begrudgingly posted an introduction to avoid the all too common scolding of folks who don't follow the rules, and as a result I found a fellow CPer working in the same building as me. My BOTL has been gracious enough to answer lots of my newbie questions, but tonight he went above and beyond the call of duty. Upon meeting for the first time, he handed me a packet to help me get my feet wet. I've spent the last couple of hours looking up info on all the sticks he gave me and planning my smoke for tomorrow.

BTW MK, I know you didn't know it, but today is my birthday. Your gift is one of the coolest birthday gifts I've received since I got a pair of "six-shooter" cap pistols when I was 6 yrs old! Thanks brother!!

Wow! Talk about a small world story. Good deal that you found a BOTL to share your new lifestyle with over there. :thumbs: Even better it is a CP BOTL.

Congrats, but as a general rule bomb contents usually aren't posted. Saying you were bombed by so and so is cool or you could say what you were bombed with and leave the bomber anonymous but posting the contents and the bomber has been frowned upon. I don't mean to rain on your parade, just an FYI.

Just curious, why is this?

One reason is let's say someone bombs you with a fiver of Padron 2000 because you said you had never tried them before. Very generous thing to do and it is done quite often here at CP. A couple of weeks later someone posts a picture of 5 Opus they received in a bomb from the same guy who bombed with Padron 2000. Each act is a generous one and I'm not saying you would get jealous, but it can happen because of the difference in value between the two bombs. In a perfect world everyone would simply be happy that people are being generous, but we don't live in that world. That is one of many examples I've seen given.

Yea its good to hear someone Sqared you away with some good smokes. I know how hard it is to get good smokes over there.
