I'm looking for some feedback from everyone regarding this cigar and what you know about it. Unfortunately I won't be anywhere near any of the events going on for his 80th b-day, but I am considering purchasing a handful of the cigars. Has anyone read anything more about these than I can find in your average google search?

Specifically I wanted to throw this idea out to the crowd to see what everyone thingks. I'm thinking about getting a full box of 24 and the box I get will be signed by him this weekend at his event in FL. The only things I've found about the cigar state that it's a limited edition cigar and all the usual stuff like that. Does anyone think this is going to be one of those cigars created for some special event (think along the lines of those CAO Palms coffins) that in 6 months I'm going to see at 1/4 the price over at c-bid or CI? A full box is going to cost $360. That's $15 per cigar, which is not cheap by most standards. Am I nuts to think about that full box? Would there be any interest in a box split on this? I'm just thinking/typing out loud here looking for some guidance.

Having smoked part of a cigar from his personal stash, I would bet this one is
a good cigar as well. But for $15 a stick, I dont think it would be THAT good. But what does Mr Peat know anyways.

I wouldnt mind getting 1 or 2 sticks but no way I could afford a full 5er.

Gonz, I would be up for 2-3 of these. Beyond that, I think they are a bit much for me. I was thinking of trying to get singles from one of the online retailers who is hosting an event, but if you are going to get a box, I would help you out by buying some of yours. :D

I know nothing about this cigar. However, it sounds interesting.

When you are through getting some feedback and the decision turns out to be positive, let me know. If you still want to split at that time, I'm in. You know I trust your judgment.

LOL..... I didn't put my 2 cents in..... I don't think these will be a limited edition cigar that you will then see a C-Bid.... I think they will be just like the AVO LE05.... etc...

Like I said... I will be in for 3.....

The Davidoff rep was at my local B&M a couple weeks ago, and was talking about these very same smokes, to hear him tell it, close to the 2nd coming!! When I asked about the price, he wouldn't hazard a guess, I figure he didn't want to step on the owner's toes, in case he wanted to mark them up substantially.

In any case I would take a couple, if you decide to take the plunge.

Well, I've gone ahead and ordered that box. I'll be sure to post a review once I've had a chance to sit down and enjoy one.

And I've sent pm's to the people that were interested in getting a couple of these.

Well, I got these cigars today, and as seen below, fantastic packaging, they look great!

Just a little porn for your Wednesday afternoon!

Very nice, just waiting for the party on April 11th to get one. Hopefully they will have extras to buy also.

The box itself is wrapped in leather, then inside has the three trays offset by notches in the box. One thing that occurred to me is how well will leather hold up to 65-70% humidity in my humi? I would like to assume that Avo and his marketing folks have thought about this and know that it will be ok, but just in case I thought I'd throw this out there to the experts (you).

If it's treated leather, not rough and open or soft like suede or soft leather boots/jackets,it will hold up fine.It may get some wrinkles but after time, when its not needed in the humi anymore it should go back to normal.
I have never had leather in a humid enviroment other than my baseball mitt or some boots,I can only compare it to times I have gotten leather wet.

Great presentation!

I often wander though, how much less we would pay for the sticks without the fancy box. After all, we don't smoke the box. No offense to the box collectors, this looks like a good addition to your collection.
