There is going to be a herf at 8 to 8 cigars in Villa Park that will be attended by twenty cigar makers, it's a tour through the U.S. for these guys, from 4pm till it's over. There will be a sale at 30% off, but there will be a tent outside where you will be able to talk to them and pick up some literature. Seems to me that the time is at hand to fight the tobacco nazis, i'll be there, hope a lot of brothers are also. :thumbs: CRA has a website to find out if they will be in your area, Google cigar rights of America, i got a an e-mail. See you there!

I will actually be in Chicago 20th - 22nd. MIght be able to make this like at 6m or so. Can I get the addy and a link to the store website if they have one.

I'll be going on Monday the 4th to pick up my ticket, $40 if purchased before hand,$50 the day of the event. Bernie and i will be there at noon, so if you can, come on out and smoke one with us. :thumbs:
 
Sorry I cannot attend. I'll be in Indiana on a training event from 12-29 AUG :(

Shoot, I just realized we are going to be at the Cubs game that day. I might be able to make it out for the evening. I will have to see how it goes. Will have the boys with us, otherwise I would just head out that way directly.
 
The event at Up Down is also on the 21st. Thats probably why the list is different. This may be an excuse to get my butt back to Chitown for a visit. Anyone going to Up Down? Its closer to downtown where I'll probably be staying if I make it out there. G1
 
I don't want to start something, but Iwan Reis really doesn't have much room, if a lot of people show up it will turn into standing room only. 8 to 8 is in the suburbs and has a huge parking where a big tent will be raised. You'll be able to talk to the cigar makers one on one and enjoy some refreshments and cigars outside. I bought my tickets, i hope both events turn out successfully. :cool:

Sack it is as Sylvia's place Up DOWN TOBACCO. On event days they usually have the back area opened up. Looks like alot of ppl will already be in or near the city. I think we should probably head there.

Reading the other thread and i'm guessing you'll be attending the 8 to 8 cigar event. Think of it this way, you won't have to pay for parking. :thumbs:
 
Someone said on another thread that there was going to be special edition cigars at the event, i spoke to one of the guys that works at 8 to 8, and they have no knowledge of such a thing. But there wil be free cigars with the purchase of a ticket, who knows, maybe there will be a special cigar involved. :whistling:
 
Carlos Torano has been added to the list of Cigar Makers at the event. :thumbs:
 
Well, if anybody couldn't make it to the herf downtown, Villa Park is where CgarDan will be at the 8 to 8 event. See you there. :D
 
It was great to talk to Dan, 300 people and we wound up talking to all the cigar manufacturers. :) :thumbs:
