Saturday night i tried the Auchentoshan 10yo.
In the glass it has a deep honey hue and a slight oily-ness that holds it to the sides of the glass.
The nose is of phenolic alcohol with hint of sweet orange/mandarine to it.
A first taste was nothing to bang on about but adding a little water opened it up,the nose revealed caramel and sweet fruit.
No burn was detected on the way down and was smooth and sweet on the palette..Letting it open up in the glass helped with the enjoyment i found when matched with a Puros Indios #2.
