ATTN: NEW MEMBERS

Just wanted to post a quick message to remind everyone what CP is about, and how we run things... Looks like we're experiencing a spike in new membership. Obviously we welcome new members, however upon joining CP you are not entitled to all of which this community has to offer right off the bat. In order to protect the general membership, we do have time constraints set in place for joining/starting a pass, participating in buys/sells/etc... Reason being, new members must build their reputation. If we allowed any new member to join/start a cigar pass, participate in the buy/sell forum, etc, we would be running the risk of getting ripped off, plain and simple.

We encourage all new members to read and participate in the forum. However, certain activities are limited to those who have built a positive reputation at CigarPass.

I have posted the rules in the OPEN PASS forum as well as in the B/S/T forum. As a self-moderated community, it is up to you guys, the established members, to help point new members in the right direction.

Makes a lot of sense Rod.

I consider myself lucky having already traded and purchased from a few members here, but totally understand the need for trust to be developed before newbies jump in to the fray.


Oh, and with the spike of new members may come a spike of Trolls. At least with this community, they will be found most unwelcome most quickly.
