Dear Men and Women of our (US) Armed Forces:
I am sitting here this evening watching a show that detailed different areas of Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. As I sit here watching our men and women doing their daily duties, which seemed absolutely HORRIFIC to me but perfectly normal to them, I am astonished at the dedication, pride and sense of patriotism each and everyone of you exude while doing your "normal" duties.
The show focused on the daily life and daily danger you guys and gals face over there. They also showed the hospitals in action. I won't disrespect you with details but I had a lump in my throat the entire time and was truly saddened.
Then, I felt a sense of inadequacy.
I have participated and lead "cigar packages for the troops" but after tonight, it seems so insignificant. I had a sense of pride when doing it as if I was some how "connected" to you guys. In hind sight, I am somewhat ashamed for having that feeling. NOW I feel like I should be doing MORE and no matter what I do, I will never be enough to express the gratitude that I have for you guys.
So....from now on, I will include free cigars with EVERY order shipped to an APO.
In addition to that, if there is anything that you need in the way of sundries, please let me know and I will pick them up to ship along with your order. (Please shoot me an email at Cigarmony@gmail.com before so we can work out the details).
I know it's not much but I racked my brain to figure out how to repay you all.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and god bless you all for doing what you are doing without giving it a second thought.
God speed in a safe return home.
Sincerely,
Mark Neff
