So . . . I have a couple humidors and all seems to be well. There are, however, a couple problems that I have experienced that I thought I may be able to get answers to here in this forum.

First, the large rectangle humidifier in my larger humidor kept falling off the lid. The magnets were fine, rather it was the double-sided adhesive tape that failed - most likely due to the humidity in theere . . . go figure :whistling: Now, in my smaller humi the hygrometer is having the same problems - the double-sided adhesive is failing.

Of course I know I can place the humidifier anywhere in the humi, in fact I am now using Humi-Care gell in the larger humidor and a ClimaGuard stick in the smaller one and they seem to be holding the humidity well and are more constant. However, I still have the problem with the hygrometer in the smaller humidor.

Any ideas for re-attaching the humidifier and hygrometer? Or do I just have to keep replacing the double-sided tape?

go to your local home depot and grab some industrial grade velcro, i have used that successfully in humid environments before. make sure it is the indutrail grade. the standard stuff is crap and won't adhere properly. hope this helps.

I double this comment. I work on ships and boats on the ocean for a living. This stuff is awesome. Make sure to get some really fine sand paper and lightly sand the are first to make it a smooth surface. Then wipe it down or hit it w/ canned air to remove any dust. Apply your velcro by cutting it to size, attach the hook/loops together, apply it to the hygrometer, then tot he inside. Remember to leave 2 small channels on the bottom of the hygrometer to allow the air to enter and to calibrate it as needed.
