Here's another spalted ashtray with some unusual character.

This is spalted (rotten) wood. The fungus makes the color changes and black lines. Boring beetles of some sort made the holes that add so much character. The grid squares are 1".

This wood is unusual and I only have a small amount that I paid a premium price to obtain.
