I was asked if I could make something for the Quad State Herf so I thought this would be a nice donation for a good cause. It's made from Spalted Maple, Shedeua and Bloodwood. It seats 5 Cigars comfortably. Sorry, no room for Cigarettes. Let me know what you think, please enjoy and good luck to all of you that are going.

Nice tray!
I certainly wouldn't mind winning that!

Unfortunately I see Anthony's mangina winning that!
If you hadn't heard it is a lucky mangina!
Maybe he'll let me rub it for some luck...

That is a very kind gift on your part. I'm sure someone will be happy with it. My only problem is I would hate to use it, as it is stunning.

Charlie, I think Rob pegged it, I think that is going to Casa tone-ny!

Sry I am going to be there so in La Casa De Serewko is where that will end up. And I will use it every day,I'm sure it was made to be used Like Cigars are rolled to be smoked

Thanks guys. I recommend the winner find a glass dish of some sort to line the bottom. Good luck to you all. I only wish I could do more for this great cause.

Don't forget, bid high and bid often. :D

Nice work!

Just curious - how long does it take you to turn out a beauty like that?

First I'd like to say thanks. As far as how long it takes to make one like this I'd say about 20 to 25 hours for this pattern. Good thing I don't do this for a living.......I'd be broke. :( :D If I make multiples I can get that down to about 15 hrs each.

As usual beautiful work. I will need to have you make me something when I finish my conference room at my office.

So it's a labor of love, kudos to you. I went and googled bloodwood to broaden my horizons!

Again, really beautiful workmanship!

MAN I wish I could go!!!! I really hope this livens up the fun there. I guess if I can't go I can at least give you all something to talk about. Now don't worry about using it as an ashtray......it's an ashtray. As said before, I would recommend a glass insert though.

Did I mention, bid high, bid often.

I thought you might like to see the mess these make. This is after cleaning up. Who in the hell would have thought this little ashtray could make so much saw dust.

Just came in from the shop. It's finally done. I'll ship it out tomorrow. Have fun everyone and rember it's for a very good cause  .

Now that is a thing of beauty!!! You sir are extremely talented, thank you so much for supporting the Quad State Herf and it's more than worthy cause!!!

That ashtray is mind blowingly beautiful, I will enjoy smoking with this after my Wifey wins it (she is judt way too lucky).

Grat work.

Thanks. I put a lot of work into this one. The finish is 5 coats of Tung oil and 3 wax coats. (The wax concotion I use makes it feel like silk) This alone took 6 days to do. Mostly being patient and properly curing between coats. It's worth the wait though. Good luck. Something tells me your a contender for sure.
