OK...as I said in the topic, I hate Ashton VSG's. I know you'll all say, "Great, more for me.". But you know what...this cigar was the best thing to happen to me in a long time. Being Friday, I took the afternoon off to enjoy this cigar at my favorite time wasting place (Dana Point Cigar), and when I lit it up I knew it was something special. I bought this from a little shop far away from Dana Point, they only had about 10 left and they were all white with plume. I didn't buy more because I've always had bad experiences with VSG's. But not this time...

So I cut it and the pre-light was perfect.

It tasted like a Padron 1964 Anni., weird!!

Lit it and the smoke just created this amazing halo above me and it rained down love!!!

I can't say too much about the flavor accept it was like drinking the best damn cafe mocha you've ever had and it lasted forever. Tons of earthy, coffee, chocolate and slightly spicy goodness. WOW!!! I think I have seen the light!!!!! Damn, I'm going back to that shop and hope like hell they have more of them...cause I'm gonna buy them all.

That's it!

PS - No...I will not tell you were I got them!

Yeah, every VSG I ever smoked was excellent. I love that little Tres Mystique. A real powerhouse of a petit corona!

Roger that!

The VSG's are some of the moldiest cigars I have ever found. Must be something about that leaf holding moisture and oils or spores during production. But whatever the cause, I've seen some trace of mold in almost 1 out of every 3 boxes.
