We decided to met up and have a little herf for Eric, since he is a dad now, and burn down the siglos we've been holding since April on Trey's coming into the world.
1st one up
Cigar:Ashton VSG Belicoso No. 1
From:"The distinct flavor of VSG comes from its wrapper grown on a private estate in Ecuador owned by the Oliva family where this proprietary wrapper leaf is grown for the Fuente Family exclusively for Ashton VSG."
Shape:Perfecto
Wrapper Shade:Sungrown
Ring Gauge:52
Length:5 1/4
Light/Burn: Pretty Even
Overall construction:Great
Taste:Pretty powering at the mid point. I noticed it was the first time I thought a VSG seemed full bodied
Draw: Perfect!
Last Thoughts: There was a little bit of damaged that causesd a little bit of wrapper issues, but it was the cigars fault. Gotta say it was a 90 out of 100 easy!
Cigar:Cohiba Siglo VI
From: Cuba!
Shape: Churchill ???
Wrapper Shade: *ISOM Guys, help me on this one*
Ring Gauge:52
Length: 6
Light/Burn: a little evening up was done
Overall construction: Pretty Good
Taste: Great Cigar! Coffee and leather notes. I personally think it fell off a little at the end, but it left me with a huge buzz
Draw: Perfect!
Last Thoughts: I've been holding on to this ting since April. I also came across one for our friend Phil who joined us. This cigar had great tastes at the begining all the way to the 3/4 point. Like I said before it did fall off at the end. I would give this cigar an 87 out of 100
Cigar:CAO Milliuem
Info about the cigar:To celebrate the beginning of the 21st century, CAO International released 21,000 'CAO Millennium Selection cigars. These fabulous torpedo-shaped cigars are box-pressed and measure 7 inches by 54 ring gauge. This very limited line is made by Nick Perdomo of Tabacalera Perdomo, exclusively for CAO.Presented in exquisite glass topped cigar humidor with each cigar is individually boxed. An investment, an impressive presentation for the cigar collector, the CAO Limited Edition Humidor. Twenty one Millenium cigars total.
Shape:Torpedo
Wrapper Shade:Maduro
Ring Gauge:54
Length:6
Light/Burn:PERFECT BURN!
Overall construction:PERFECT!
Taste:Wonderful notes of chocolate, coffee, taffy, it was probably the best tasting cigar I've ever had.
Draw: A little loose
Last Thoughts: Alright, I've heard mix thoughts on this cigar, and I've been holding it for awhile, so I thought I'd burn it down. I pulled it out for the ride home. Man, how awesome was this cigar?! It was just wonderful at first with all types of different notes and tastes. Normally durning a cigar I will drink water or something to chase away little bad taste spots, but man, I would smoke one just for that taste to be back in mouth. It was wonderful. The taste and notes override every little bad thing about the cigars draw. I would give it a 95 out of 100
